SNOWFEST CORTINA CHALLENGE
The "hottest week-end in the year"

On 10th and 11th March 2001 Cortina has hosted the sports/worldly event of 2001 winter: Cortina Challenge.

To launch their new products, Pringles, Max Factor, Burton, and Bud have chosen Cortina and Faloria: an environment that is strongly recommended to free-style enthusiasts.
This winter, Faloria has created a snow park especially designed for snowboarders: a perfect frame for the jump contest.

The week-end began on Friday night, at Bilbò disco club, with MAXFACTOR opening party to celebrate the opening of the event. The success of the party was also due to the new kiss-proof lipstick by Max Factor.

On Saturday morning on the slopes of Faloria the qualification trials were held, then a thick fog made it necessary to postpone the competition to Sunday.
Yet the party went on ! On the stage of the "Conchiglia", at 6.30 p.m. the "HOT & SPICY" show, with the Culture Shock dances, dj and live music, 5 percussionists that involved the spectators through their tribal rhythms. Capoeira dancers aroused the enthusiasm of the audience with their spectacular evolutions.

The dinner for the sponsors was served at Rifugio Faloria with the cooperation of Bilbò disco club, whereas the athletes were guests of restaurant La Botte. Then, from midnight on they all met at Bilbò to go on with the celebrations.

On Sunday morning, thanks to the nice weather, the competitions were held on Faloria as from schedule; the race track had been carefully prepared with 5000 cubic m. of snow specially arranged for the event.

from 4 o'clock till the sunset, there were dances on the deck of Rifugio Faloria, from where you can enjoy a dramatic view of the valley below.
