Rifugio Pomedes is the ideal headstart for a wide range of excursions in the Tofane area.
This area , a heaven for summer hikers, is rich in trails, both easy and demanding, that winds through woods or climb up as far as the rocky walls of the Tofane and of the nearby peaks.
Among the most spectacular itineraries we suggest the "Astaldi" a trail laid out with cable for support, one of the oldest "vie ferrate" of the Ampezzo valley. The trail follows a ledge on a Raibl formation of red, grey, green, and violet rocky layers. This highly scenic route is also extremely interesting from a geological point of view. |
