OLYMPIC BOBTRACK "Eugenio Monti"
Named after Eugenio Monti - The Legend of the "Flying Redhead" >>>
The Olympic Bobtrack, built for the 1956 Winter Olympics, is as far the only one in Italy. Italian Championships of all the categories of 2- and 4-man bobsleigh as well as several international events, such as World Championships and World Cup competitions , have taken and take place every year on this bobtrack
It is artificially refrigerated and every year the technical aspect and the management are improved. It is prepared by refrigeration technicians that mould the bends and the stretches both manually, with special scrapers, and with the help of special machines and specific equipment. Thus, the visual aspect and particularly the technical one vary from one season to the other and make this track - as pilots say - one of the most technical and beautiful ones in the Bobsleigh world circuit.
Follow the track around the bends, with descriptions and photographs and technical dates. >>>.
