The Lagazuoi 5 Torri area is of considerable interest to mountaineers because of its numerous peaks, characterised by excellent rock, favourable exposure and easy access.

Some walls have acquired a well-deserved place in the history of mountaineering, like the stupendous Scotoni with the classic Vie Lacedelli and Via dei Fachiri and the Skotonata galatika; others, such as Torre Falzarego, are ideal for those who are beginners at mountaineering and for the first climbs of the season.

On several of the peaks there are classical climbs of great attraction, such as the Torre del Lago with its Diedro Dall'Oglio or the Col dei Bos with the Spigolo Sud.

The Cinque Torri (the Five Towers ) constitute without doubt the most  important practice wall in the area.
