The Centenary of the birth of Dino Buzzati (1906 - 2006)

The fantastic 5 Torri will be the background for an important celebration in memory of Dino Buzzati, on the centenary of his birth.

The event is not to be missed and will take place on Friday 17^th August, at the Scoiattoli Refuge.

The initiative, which will begin at 7 p.m., will open with the playing of various pieces of music by the Band of Cortina; this will be followed by the big-screen projection of a RAI programme from 1968.

This is a film dedicated to Cortina, in which Dino Buzzati interviews the mountain guides, who were particularly dear to the author.

The actor Ugo Pagliai will read various articles and short stories dedicated to Cortina, to the Dolomites and to the guides.

For  the occasion, the Cinque Torri Chairlift will be open during the evening and night to take you to the Scoiattoli Refuge.

It will also be possible to visit  the illuminated trenches of the Great War and then to go down the mountain on foot with the guides or else by chair lift.
