Every year at the beginning of September a thousand sheep arrive in Passo Giau.

This incredible spectacle brings one back to a time when migrating flocks of grazing sheep on the meadows were not such a rare sight.  

At the head of the river of bleating wool one finds Virgilio, shepherd for 32 years, and his dogs, loyal companions of adventure and indispensable assistants for managing the flock.

For the occasion, the Valleferro family of the Hotel Giau organizes a party with live music and BBQ for everyone.
