News from Lagazuoi 5 Torri Giau
New Chairlift "Alpe Potor-Nuvolau".

The process of renewal and upgrading of the Lagazuoi 5 Torri Giau ski area continues. Last year the Averau refuge was expanded and refurbished, during summer the premises and terrace of Baita Bai de Dones was renovated and this winter sees the opening of the new “Alpe Potor-Nuvolau” chairlift.

The single chairlift has been replaced by a convenient new 2-seater chairlift offering an efficient service and eliminating queues.

The hourly capacity increases from 700 to 1200 persons (+ 70%) and the operating speed is augmented from 2,2 to 2,8 metres/second (+30%).

The arrival point of  the new chairlift is right in front of the Averau refuge, at the start of the piste for the Giau chairlift and the Averau Troi. The total time to reach the top will be halved thanks to the greater speed of the new lift facility which replaces the two lifts which previously served the distance. The connection between the 5 Torri and Giau and Falzarego will now be much easier, allowing skiers to enjoy the extraordinary views of the most famous Dolomite peaks - Tofana, Civetta, Pelmo – without the inconvenience of queues and waiting times.
