This year celebrate Christmas and New Year according to the Russian tradition, at an altitude of more than 2400 meters. Sandro Siorpaes and his wife Paola, managers of the Averau refuge, decided to host these events as they were keen to extend the joyous spirit of Christmas, which in the Orthodox tradition falls between the 7th and the 14th of January.
Every lunchtime from January 6th to January 17th, guests will have the opportunity to taste typical Russian Christmas specialties. In the spirit of the theme, on their arrival guests will be greeted by staff in Russian language. A menu based on traditional recipes from the Dolomites will also be available, for those who would like to experience new flavors.

And for those who wish to celebrate New Year with their fellow countrymen, Sandro and Paola propose a traditional dinner on Wednesday, January 14th, in synchrony with Russian time. When the clocks strike midnight in
Moscow
, the time here will be 2200 and the party will continue until 2400 midnight Italian time, after which ... we all go to sleep.
