In the soldiers' dormitory in the gallery, beds and furniture are the original ones, perfectly preserved after over 80 years. The soldiers used to sleep in shifts on the two wooden planks, placed one over the other.
Those who were not on guard duty, on fatigue or engaged in the construction works of the galleries used to spend here the short moments of rest in the heat of the coal stove.
At 2625 m of altitude there is the officers' hut, today fully rebuilt. It had been made from a cave excavated into the rocks and was less Spartanly furnished: two bunk beds, bench and table to work, write reports or play cards.
