Cinque Torri skiing area
Great War Ski Tour
The 1914-1918 Great War ski tour is a new offer, standing as an excellent alternative to the classic tour around the Sella group. It runs around Col di Lana, the mountain which is the symbol of the first World War, across historical sites and wonderful natural environments. It can be travelled both ways, clockwise or anti-clockwise, and part of the route lies in the Cinque Torri area.

Snowshoeing
The characteristics of the area are perfect for hiking on the summer trails even in winter. What you need is just a pair of snowshoes ("ciaspes" to the Ampezzo residents) that have been recently re-discovered.
These "tools" will let you experience memorable feelings, as you walk through the woods just after a heavy snowfall or reach sites where you will be able to appreciate the mountains in winter, far from the crowded ski slopes.

Sledding and dining
What about sledding down the road Cinque Torri - Cianzopé? The track is well pisted to this purpose.

Finally, a memorable experience for a full-moon night: a motor sled will drive you to the Scoiattoli or Averau mountain inns, where you will enjoy an excellent dinner , and to conclude an exciting descent by sled!

Relax
In this dramatic environment, on the warm February or March days you can loaf on the sunny decks of the inns, as you enjoy their warm hospitality.
