An easy walk

The Faloria Nature Path is a short, relatively straightforward and extremely interesting hike. This round trip starts and finishes at Rifugio Faloria and reaches the remains of the original top station of the cable car. It then continues up along the main Faloria ridge and, all the while looking out onto the Cortina basin, reaches the refuge. The paths have recently been restored and information panels installed along the way. Numerous bird species can be spotted here, as well as other animals, such as chamois in the early hours of the morning. Along the crest there are numerous panoramic vantage points to admire the mountain chain southwards.

Mountain Biking for a day

Both Monte Faloria and Cristallo have a great mountain bike itinerary and the two trips can be combined to make a fantastic day out.

Alta Via N°3

The Alta Via N.3, otherwise known as the High Route of the Chamois, crosses Monte Faloria on its way from Villabassa in Val Pusteria to Longarone. Coming from Rif Popena it joins Faloria at Passo Tre Croci and continues along path no. 215 to Rifugio Vandelli.

From here it crosses Forcella Cadin (n.216 e 223) to first reach Tondi di Faloria along path no. 213, and then the Punta Nera col along path no. 215. It then continues along the panoramic Cengia del Banco ledge (path no. 242) to Bivacco Slataper.
