Many lifts - cable cars or chair lifts - are open in summer to take the hikers uphill to the best starting point for the excursions or to some of the "rifugi" (alpine huts or mountain inns) around Cortina, where the panoramic view is excellent.
In the rifugi you may enjoy a good meal with local dishes and sunbathe on the deck
