Skiing on powder snow - Off-piste
In Cortina you will find the most spectacular panoramic views in the Alps and the most challenging slopes in the Dolomites but.... pay attention!
Skiing off-piste is only for the most experienced skiers since it requires not only a fairly good knowledge of the technique, but also of the mountain and its safety regulations. Otherwise, an expert Mountain Guide is the best solution.

The Lagazuoi 5 Torri area offers many interesting routes

Ski-mountaineering
There are several opportunities to enjoy skiing on powdery slopes.

Ski-mountaineering is the most exciting discipline for the most experienced skiers; the ascent being an excursion by ski equipped with “seal skins” and then the descent cruising down untouched slopes. Or you can use the lifts and then the “seal skins” to gain in elevation, this is certainly a less demanding excursion , though not so gratifying. If you do not have much time, you can use the lifts and ski down on the sides of the slope.
A further opportunity is Heliski: the most expensive and the least ecological. The ascent by helicopter to reach the highest peaks and the descent through steep gorges and over long powdery hills.

Let an expert guide you! The Cortina's Alpine Guides will escort you in total safety.

Starting out from the Lagazuoi 5 Torri area, there are numerous ski mountaineering excursions to be made.
