Beside fashion shops there are several other shops, very original for the high quality of their goods that may be found only in Cortina. These may be called “author’s shops”. They sell the local crafts or the local food produce.
You cannot leave Cortina without visiting some of these shops to take home with you a little bit of Cortina and the Dolomites.
These shops open normally from 8am to 12.30 noon, and from 3.30pm to 7.30pm. During high season they might be open a little longer, but usually not more than 8pm. In season shops are also open on Sundays and public holidays, but some have reduced hours. In low season closing day is, beside Sunday, Monday for shops, Monday morning for stores, Wednesday for food and delicatessen.
