The Lagazuoi and 5 Torri area is an oasis for naturalists.
Here we are likely to meet ibex (Alpine goats) and chamois. With a little patience, we may be able to admire hare, partridge and even the proud eagles that hunt and nest in these magical places.
There are also ancient lakes of glacial origin set in the rocks, together with centuries-old, strangely shaped stone pines, making for a unique landscape.
Further down the valley, black grouse, nutcrackers and marmots populate the meadows, which are coloured with spring and summer flowers that are without equal in the richness of their species and colours.
With the changing seasons, roe deer and stags venture out of the woods in the valley bottom as far as the higher edges of the meadows.
In short... an unspoilt paradise for animals, flowers and ... enthusiasts.
