Getting there: from Cortina d'Ampezzo take the SS 48 to Passo Falzarego and continue by “Funivia del Lagazuoi” cable car to the refuge. On foot: from Passo Falzarego (2117m) along path no. 402-401 (2hrs - 630m altitude gain).
The refuge is located on the summit of Piccolo Lagazuoi (2752m), close to the cable car that leads up from Passo Falzarego. Apart from offering splendid views onto the surrounding mountains the refuge is used as a starting point for discovering the network of First World War tunnels that leads down from the summit to Cengia Martini. The via Ferrata Tomaselli that leads to Cima Fanis Sud (2980m) can also be reached, as can the paths in the Fanes/Lagazuoi mountain group and the Val Travenanzes.
