Val Zoldana in Summer
Zoldo, nestled in green woods and protected by the majestic mountain groups of Pelmo,Civetta, Moiazza, Mezzodì, Tamer, San Sebastiano and Bosconero, is a beautiful and still wild valley, located in a pristine corner at the hearth of the Dolomites.

In summer, the valley turns into a fascinating destination for excursions at high altitudes, on the Pelmo, the Civetta or the Moiazza group. Among the many available destination, the climb to the foot of the Pelmetto, allows to see the Dinosaurs tracks, the tracks of the pre-historical animals dated back to 250 million years ago. Another important evidence of the pre-historic era is the Man of Mondeval, dated back to the Mesolithic period and nowadays kept in the Civic Museum in Selva di Cadore.

The Zoldo Ring
Trekking holidays through Zoldo mountains, sleeping in mountain huts: 6 days, 30 hours of hiking, 70 kilometers, 5000 metres up and down.

This is the Zoldo Ring, one of the most beautiful trekking itineraries in the Dolomites. From Forno to Belvedere di Mezzodì and the Angelini Hut; Tàmer-S. Sebastiano up to the Duran Pass; Coldai Hut, skirting by Moiazza and Civetta; to the foot of the Pelmo Massif and the Venezia Hut; from Penna up to Rite and down to the Cibiana Pass; through the Sforniòi and the Bosconero Hut and back to Forno through Fagarè.
Mountain bike
For mountain bikes, the Val Zoldana offers the ring-shaped track of the Civetta Superbike. The track starts and finishes at Pecol (1,380 metres) after having passed Palafavera, Col dei Baldi, Forcella, Pecol, Pescul, the Fertazza refuge, Piani di Pezzè and Forcella di Alleghe. In total, five hundred kilometres with a height difference of 2,381 metres.

Cabled routes and rock climbing
Mountain climbers from all over the world go to the Zoldo mountains for the opportunities it offers climbers of all abilities. The Zoldo mountains offer a view of majestic Mount Pelmo and the great Civetta massif, the reign of the sixth degree where the story of Dolomite mountain climbing was born. The Moiazza massif, the elegant Spiz di Mezzodi and the imperious sides of Bosconero, however, are no less impressive. There are good opportunities for cable climbers: on the Moiazza, the cabled Costatini climb, one of the most challenging in the Dolomites; on Civetta you can find the cabled Alleghesi climb and the cabled Tissi climb takes you to the Torrani refuge at an altitude of 3,000 metres.
