Apartment Ai Piani is less than 3 minutes by car far from the chair lift Pescul-Fertazza, the access point to the Ski Civetta ski area for the village of Selva di Cadore. This chair lift carries skiers quickly to the heart of the ski area; from here dozens of perfectly groomed ski slopes of every level of difficulty connect the resort to the valleys of Alleghe, Palafavera and Val di Zoldo. On the ski slopes of Alleghe is located also the new Alleghe Central Park, a place entirely dedicated to snowboarders and freeskiers that find here many jumps, rails, boxes and, of course, the amusing Big Air Bag, the biggest inflatable mattress of the Dolomites. In Selva di Cadore, not far from the main square, is located the interesting Public Museum of the Fiorentina Valley "Vittorino Cazzetta"; this museum features important pieces related to the ancient history of the valley, among which the most important ones are undoubtedly the remains of the so-called "Om de Mondeval" (the Man of Mondeval"), a hunter-gatherer that lived in Mondeval de Sora almost 7500 years ago, and the archaeological ruins of the Mandriz site. In the hamlet of Santa Fosca, guests can admire the suggestive Church of Santa Fosca, a centuries-old building with a fascinating style and a huge fresco representing St. Christoforus.
