The B&B Dolomites is located a few steps far from the main square of Canale d'Agordo, the hometown of Albino Luciani (Pope John Paul I), immediately after the main bridge on the left side of the road. The B&B Dolomites offers two cozy rooms, one with a queen-size bed (named "Franz Klammer" after the well-known world downhill skiing champion of the 70s) and one with three twin beds (called "Toni Sailer", the ski champion that won three gold medals at the Cortina 1956 Winter Olympics). Both rooms have an independent bathroom; baby cots and comfortable relax and breakfast room with TV are available for our guests.
The B&B Dolomites offers to its guests a free Wi-Fi connection, parking spaces in front of the B&B, a free garage for motorbikes and bicycles, a free ski depot, a mountain bike rental service (fee required); furthermore, our customers can enjoy the convenient agreement with the Ski & Snowboard School Equipe (Falcade) and with the ski & snowboard rental Snow Style (Falcade).
The B&B Dolomites is very closed to the bus and skibus stop to the ski lifts of the Trevalli ski area in Falcade; a few steps far from the B&B, our customers can find some useful services and commercial activities, like a pharmacy, a day hospital, a news-stand, a hair salon, a restaurant, a pizzeria, a bakery, a butchery, two pubs, the post office and a supermarket.
With the registration among the World Natural Heritage Sites of the UNESCO (2009), the Dolomites have gained the value of exceptional natural monument; the southern area of the Alps included in the provinces of Bozen, Trento and Belluno offers some of the most striking peaks and landscapes of the whole Alpine area.
Canale d'Agordo is a typical mountain village full of history; here was founded the first brewery of Italy and the first dairy cooperative of Italy; a few steps far from the B&B, our guests can visit the Archpriest Church of St. John the Baptist, the exhibit dedicated to the Pope housed in the vicarage on the main square, the so-called "Casa delle Regole" (the most ancient building of Canale dated 1640) and the Garden of Memory, a monumental route dedicated to the Fallen and Missing of the Russian Campaign 1941-43. From Canale, along the stream Liera, it is possible to reach the wonderful Gares Valley, a marvellous basin of 7 km full of woods and streams and surrounded by the impressive peaks of Mount Focobon and by the Comelle Plateau, which are part of the third area of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. The Gares Valley is crossed by a nice cycle track of 7 km through which it is possible to reach easily the Comelle Waterfall and the biotope of the Gares Valley; furthermore, the Gares Valley offers an efficient Cross-Country Ski Centre. Falcade, a well-known summer and winter resorts, departure point of the Trevalli ski area, is just 2 km far from Canale; it is also possible to reach Falcade from Canale on foot or by bike thanks to a beautiful cycle path that crosses a verdant wood along the stream Biois.
