The ski lifts of Mount civetta ski area are just a few meters far from Residence Sas de Pelf; the Ski Civetta ski area connects three different valleys (Val Cordevole with its main town Alleghe, Val Fiorentina with Selva di Cadore and Val di Zoldo) and offers more than 80 km of perfectly groomed ski slopes, 2 amusing snowpark (one of which is located in Val di Zoldo and has a modern lighting system that allows to ski by night), boardercross slopes, 5 km of illuminated ski slopes (always in Val di Zoldo), warm and cozy mountain refuges lively après-skis, the amazing Big Air Bag in Piani di Pezzè and several events for young people and families during the whole winter season. If you don't ski, Val di Zoldo offers many alternatives: in Palafavera is located the "Pompeo Fattor Cross-Country Ski Centre" that offers 10 km of cross-country ski slopes and 30 firing points for the practice of biathlon (In 2014, the Biathlon Centre has hosted the pre-Olympic training camp of the Italian National Biathlon team); in Forno di Zoldo at the Campo Slope you'll find several ski tracks with 2,5 km of illuminated slopes. Several proposals are dedicated to snowshoes excursions though the snowy woods of the Val di Zoldo and enchanting rides with horse-drawn sledges. Don't miss the Museum of Iron and Nail in Forno di Zoldo that tells the story of the development of metallurgy in the Zoldo Valley and the ethnographic Museum in Zoppè; the Val di Zoldo is famous furthermore for its hommade ice-cream, so don't forget to taste this amazing product; Val di Zoldo holds from many years the Guinness World Record for the ice cream cone with the geratest number of scoops.
