The symbol of the Valle di Fodom

The Andraz Castle is the most famous emblem of the Fodom Valley; built around 1000 A.D., the Andraz Castle has been the administrative centre of the valley of Arabba and a strategic point for the control of the trade routes of the area. After the huge restoration works of the last years, the Andraz Castle hosts an interesting Museum open to everybody. The Museum of the Andraz Castle is an interesting exhibition area dedicated to the great past of the valley which aims to the protection of local traditions; the Museum offers audio guide service and reductions for disabled guests and guests under 16 years old.

The Castle is open from 24th June to 24th September 2017, from 10.00 am to 12.30 am and from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm, it's closed on Monday

Its architectural structure, due to the rocky shape, has been object of many restorings during the past years. From 1986 to 2002 the most important works which permit now to the visitors to visit the castle inside through easy and confortable pedestrian walkway

Inside the Museum of Andraz Castle, an esposition with many witnesses of the historical events which afflicted the castle and the surrounding area during the centuries. Its aim is to keep alive the local traditions. There is the possibilities to organize guided visits or to ask for audio guides. Special reductions for children or disabled people.

Thanks to a recent decision of the municipality of Livinallongo del C.d.L. it is now possiblle to get married in the castle, having in this case the Dolomiti Unesco as the location for the most important day of the life.

The castle is open every day from 24th June to 10th September from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.

From 11th September to 24th September the castle will be open every day from 10.00 am to 12.30am and from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm, closed on Monday.
