The Teriol de Retic (the "Retiz Trail") is part of a selection of thematic routes called “Terioi da Fodom” and it presents itself as a charming walk that meanders through some of the most enchanting districts in the Ladin territory of Livinallongo that will surprise you with fascinating natural wonders. We suggest you start the route from Pieve di Livinallongo, eventually leaving the car at the public parking lot near the church. From there, walk towards the church for a view of the valley and to admire the little chapel behind it. Then continue on the state road towards the hamlet of Brenta and just before the petrol station turn left and take the path that goes down a rugged, flowery field. After a short walk you reach Còl (Colsottochiesa) and then you continue along the asphalt road in the direction of Retiz. From here there is some lovely scenery on the Civetta which becomes particularly fascinating at sunset. Worth a stop is the waterfall of Retiz, framed by walls of rock that testify to important aspects of the valley’s geological evolution. Proceeding you get to the hamlet of Foppa and from here, turning left you take a small path that goes up into the woods and goes back to Pieve. In the last uphill stretch you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Sella with the church of Pieve di Livinallongo in the foreground. This walk is a little more than 3 km long.
