The Sellaronda Ski Tour (also known as the "Four Passes Ski Tour", written also Sella Ronda or Sellarunde) is the most famous and beloved ski tour of the whole Dolomiti Superski area: it is characterized by 40 kilometers (almost 25 miles) of wonderful ski slopes, always perfectly groomed and by the astonishingly beautiful landscape of the Dolomites UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. The Sellaronda connects the four Ladin valleys of the Dolomites that surround the Sella Massif, which are the Fodom Valley (the valley of Arabba; it lies in the Agordino area, in the Province of Belluno and in the Veneto Region), Val di Fassa (in the Trentino area, Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige Region), Val Gardena - Gröden (in the Südtirol area, Province of Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige Region) and Alta Badia - Gadertal (in the Südtirol area, Province of Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige Region) through efficient ski lifts that allows skiers to cross effortlessly the breathtaking Pordoi, Campolongo, Gardena and Sella mountain passes.

The Sellaronda Ski Tour in the Dolomiti Superski is accessible from one of the four valleys and from the ski resorts situated in the area of the Sella group (Arabba, Malga Ciapela-Marmolada, Corvara, Selva di Val Gardena, Canazei). It winds along slopes of varying difficulty that link up to the ski areas of the surrounding valleys, for a total of 40 km immersed in a splendid background of forests and some of the best known mountains in the entire Dolomite range. The Sella tour can be made clockwise following the orange arrows, or anticlockwise, following the green arrows.

Don't forget in this case to visit also the Museum of the Great War at the Serauta arrival station and the Marmolada Panoramic Terrace in Punta Rocca, the highest observation point in the Dolomites UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.

An useful tip for those who try the Sellaronda Ski Tour for the first time and from the hamlet of Malga Ciapela at the foot of the Marmolada: try to reach the last mountain pass within 15.30, otherwise the way back to the car will be difficult since the lifts of the Passo Padon could be closed. Don't forget also to check daily the weather forecast and the snow report: in case of bad weather, some lifts could remain closed or close earlier that the scheduled closing time.
