The racetrack follows the path of the former railway that connected Cortina d'Ampezzo to Dobbiaco-Toblach. Runners start from the town center of Cortina, in Corso Italia, and after 30 km across breathtaking landscapes, surrounded by unspoilt nature, they reach Dobbiaco.
The track is slightly uphill the first part, with passages in tunnels and bridges, up to the Cimabanche Pass (1,530 m - maximum height), which divides not only the two town, but also two provinces and two different regions: respectively, Belluno in Veneto, and Bolzano in South Tyrol. The track then descends to the light blue Landro Lake, from where runners can admire the Tre Cime di Lavaredo on their right hand side. After a few kilometers, they finally reach the alpine lake of Dobbiaco, another alpine gem, and after leaving the forest they will be able to see the first houses of Dobbiaco, leaving the dirt road: from here only 1 km to go!
