Fèŝta de ra Bàndes

The "Fèŝta de ra Bàndes" is one of Cortina's most traditional and attended summer event.

It takes place in Cortina on the last week of August with the participation of more than 28 bands and folk groups from all around Italy and beyond, with concerts mand parades for a week to the tune of music. The event is organised by the Corpo Musicale di Cortina d'Ampezzo, Cortina's traditional band, a real institution with its over 150 years of history.

During the whole week, Cortina's band and others will propose several concerts in different venues, while on the last day every corner of the town centre becomes a stage for a band or folk group to perform.

Then, all the bands and Cortina's volountary groups, associations and institutions parade together in the town centre, with Cortina's band closing the parade in their splendid traditional dresses. After that, all the bands gather in the town centre for the final concert all together.
