Following the success of the first two editions, this summer the event curated by Fulvio Chimento and Carlotta Minarelli comes back on Cortina's Dolomites.
The open-air exhibition takes place on the first stretch of the Pian de ra Spines trail, an forest area crossed by the river Boite around the hamlet Fiames, while the second part of the trail hosts the permanent pieces realised for the 2021 edition. This joint project by Associazione Controcorrente, Regole d'Ampezzo and Cortina's Arts high scool stages works by Margherita Morgantin, Italo Zuffi and T-yong Chung. The title of the exhibition comes from the name of a literary guide for hikers by poet and climber Giovanni Cenacchi, whose descriptions of Cortina and its surrounding are piercing and refined. In his book "Dolomiti cuore d'Europa" (Dolomites, the heart of Europe), Cenacchi devotes a whole chapter to the Pian de ra Spines trail.
