After about an hour you will reach the Rifugio 5 Torri mountain lodge, from where you carry on, going around the 5 Torri, one of the most distinctive and famous rock features in the Dolomites, and continuing towards the Rifugio Scoiattoli mountain lodge, famous for its fine cuisine.

Once you have reached the mountain lodge, you can stop there, or move on, hiking along the edge of the skiing piste, until you reach the Rifugio Averau mountain lodge, also famed for its excellent food. From both the mountain lodges you have fantastic views of the 5 Torri group and mount Tofana di Rozes, while from Rifugio Averau you can also see mounts Civetta and Marmolada.

For the return trip, follow the same route back.
