From the Cimabanche Pass, skirting the disused powder magazine, leave the car and ascend the Gotres Valley.
The scenery immersed in the Natural Park of the Ampezzo Dolomites is varied and spectacular as you proceed, passing from dense forests, to scenic streams such as the Rio Gotres, to large plateaus at the foot of the majestic Croda Rossa d'Ampezzo.
The road is a simple dirt mule track with a constant but gentle climb.
At the edge of the Lerosa meadows, majestic 500-year-old stone pines rise up; having passed the entire Gotres Valley, we finally reach Forcella Lerosa at an altitude of 2020 m, where we can take a break.
From here the view sweeps in the direction of the Sennes plateau, with the Croda del Becco and Munt di Sennes peaks in the foreground, and towards the majestic Tofane.
From here the way back is the same, all downhill.
