Easy history-themed excursion to discover the Castle of Botestagno (or Potestagno), once a strategic stronghold of medieval origin. The name in fact derives from the German Boite-Stein, meaning ‘rock on the Boite’.
Near the castling, explanatory boards will explain the castle's history and legends.
Once you reach the top, with a simple and peaceful walk, you will enjoy a spectacular view of the entire Boite valley below, stretching as far as Cortina d'Ampezzo...the panorama is well worth the climb.
