The Rifugio Averau has been listed by the Sunday Times between the ten best restaurants of the Alps. It has been awarded prestigious awards both in Italy and abroad. Sandro Siorpaes and his wife Paola offer a traditional but sophisticated cooking. You must try the casunziei filled with šciopetìs, a wild herb harvested in the local meadows by the restaurant’s very chefs in May. Also available on the menu are “pappardelle Averau”, pheasant and broccoli timbale, the “cappelli dell’alpino”, delicious game birds main courses and not to forget the delicious desserts made personally by Sandro. The atmosphere is warm and friendly.
