Tre Cime di Lavaredo

Le Tre Cime di Lavaredo costituiscono il simbolo delle Dolomiti Patrimonio UNESCO.
These peaks are at Auronzo di Cadore and to see them best, you have to take track n° 101 which, in about an hour’s walk, takes you from the Rifugio Auronzo mountain lodge (2,333 m) to the Forcella Lavaredo gully (2,454 m). 

Rifugio Città di Carpi mountain lodge

The Rifugio Città di Carpi mountain lodge (2,110 m above sea level) is located between the Cime di Maraia peaks and mount Campoduro in the Cadini di Misurina peaks, in the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore.
It can be reached from Misurina and from the Rifugio Col de Varda mountain lodge, and the latter is also accessible by chairlift. It is a good base on the Alpine Path of the Dolomites n° 4 and a starting-point for mountain bike and hiking routes suitable for experts and beginners alike. 

Rifugio Baion mountain lodge

The Rifugio Baion - Elio Boni mountain lodge is at the foot of the Marmarole mountains at an altitude of about 1,800 m in the area of the municipality Domegge di Cadore.
Following the refurbishment of the like-named dairy stable, you can experience the atmosphere of alpine pastures. It can be reached from a number of towns in Cadore, such as Domegge di Cadore, Calalzo di Cadore, Lozzo di Cadore and Auronzo di Cadore. 

Rifugio Dino & Giovanni Chiggiato mountain lodge

The Rifugio Dino & Giovanni Chiggiato mountain lodge is in the municipality of Calalzo di Cadore.
It is set on the pastures of mount Pala del Bèco, under Col Negro. From here you can admire marvellous views over the Marmarole, a chain of steep, rocky mountains, in addition to mount Antelao and the Friulian Dolomites. It provides accommodation with all basic catering and hospitality services. In addition, luggage transport by cableway can be requested. 

Rifugio Tita Barba mountain lodge

The Rifugio Tita Barba mountain lodge is set in a clearing surrounded by forests on the Costa Vedorcia ridge in the municipality of Pieve di Cadore.
The structure is almost entirely in timber. A particularly interesting feature is the panoramic balcony near the lodge, on mount Vedorcia at an altitude of 1,852 m. From here there are fine views of the Centro Cadore area and the surrounding peaks. It is an excellent venue for food and accommodation for visitors who wish to return to savouring unfamiliar sensations of peace and calm. 

From the Staulanza Pass to the Rifugio Venezia mountain lodge

A trail of moderate difficulty leading to the Rifugio Venezia mountain lodge.
To reach it, the route takes you around mount Pelmetto, a secondary peak of the more majestic mount Pelmo, where a large rock preserves evidence of the presence of a number of dinosaurs dating back 220 million years.

Starting from the Forcella Staulanza gully car park, take track n° 472 on the Alpine Path of the Dolomites n° 1 which takes you around mount Pelmetto, enabling you to see the rock preserving the dinosaur footprints. Once you have passed Col de le Crepe and the Rutorto Pass you reach the Rifugio Venezia mountain lodge, final destination and a location on many tracks, including the Alpine Paths of the Dolomites n° 1 and n° 3. 

Rifugio Antelao mountain lodge

The Rifugio Antelao mountain lodge is at an altitude of 1,796 m at the location Sella di Pradonego, in the municipality of Pieve di Cadore.
From here there are extensive views over the mountains Cridola, Spalti di Toro, Monfalconi, Duranno, Cima dei Preti and the southern ridge of the central Marmarole group. The building, recently renovated and extended, is a perfect base connecting the Cadore area, onto which it looks as if from a natural balcony, and the Boite Valley. 

Rifugio San Marco mountain lodge

This is in the municipality of San Vito di Cadore on Col de Chi da Os at an altitude of 1,823 m above sea level, in the heart of the Dolomites.
The mountain lodge is surrounded by famous Dolomite peaks such as mounts Antelao, Sorapiss and the Marmarole group. It is one of the few mountain lodges preserving its original structure (1895).
It is run by the Ossi family. The home cooking is simple, but with great attention dedicated to the selection of fresh ingredients. 
It is at the intersection of the Alpine Paths of the Dolomites n°s 3, 4 and 5, and it is a good base for climbing mounts Sorapiss, Antelao, Cima Bel Pra and Torre dei Sabbioni.
