Ski Mountaineering - Flora Alpina-Forca Rossa (Falcade)

Difficulty
Easy
Start
Da Falcade seguire le indicazioni per Passo San Pellegrino,Val Fredda e recarsi fino alla Baita Flora Alpina
Arrival
Forca Rossa 2490 m

The itinerary starts from the parking behind the Baita Flora Alpina and goes up along a slope out of the wood and perfectly covered with snow: the initial slope is of medium difficulty.
Then the slope becomes flatter and on the right it's possible to admire the traditional “cason”, the mountain chalets where the inhabitants used to leave the tools they used to mow the grass: these chalets form a little hamlets and also a church was built there.
The slope then alternates rises and drops and it's surrounded by a wonderful 360° view.
At the foot of Forca Rossa col you have to face a last 150-metres-rise to reach the top of Forca Rossa. From here the view is breathtaking and you can observe the peaks surrounding the Valle del Biois and the Valle di Franzedàs. To go back to the starting point you can follow the same itinerary or change it a little bit.
