Rifugio Flora Alpina is located in the basin of Valfredda, 2 km from Passo San Pellegrino. Easily accessible by car, it is a well known starting point for summer hikes and excursions and pleasant backcountry ski itineraries in winter. Worth a visit are the distinctive Casoni di Valfredda. The route is 18.96 m long with an altitude difference of 891 m; it is not very well known and it meanders along an old mule trail that used to go up to Passo San Pellegrino. Due to an often hostile surface associated with very steep tracts, sometimes we will have to get off our mountain bike to push. But the singularity of the places and the sense of accomplishment will be prevailing thoughts at the end of the day.
