Thanks to the cable car which leaves from the town of Alleghe, in winter you have direct access to the Civetta ski area which, with over 80 km of slopes, is the largest ski area in Veneto.
Ski Civetta is also part of the Dolomiti Superski area, giving you access to 1200 km of runs with a single ski pass. Alleghe also provides a handy ski bus service to the Marmolada, Sellaronda and the First World War ski tour.

Two comfortable cable cars take you up to Col dei Baldi, at a height of 2000 metres, where you have the whole area at your feet, just waiting to be explored: enjoy the spectacle of the boats that look like dots on the lake in the valley below, and the Alpenglow which tinges the northwest face of Monte Civetta at dawn and dusk.

Go on relaxing walks and excursions where, in just a couple of hours, you can get to some of the most beautiful places in the Dolomites, such as Lake Coldai or following in the footsteps of the dinosaurs at Monte Pelmo.

If you love sports and the great outdoors, you can explore trails which cater to all levels, from easy trekking paths to climbs, mountain bike trails and Nordic walking routes. And if you are looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite while on an excursion or you just want to learn a bit more about the local culture and traditions, you will find a host of refuges and chalets just a short distance from the ski lifts where you can experience local traditional food.
