Discover the origins of skiing with ski touring.

Hidden peaks, distant valleys, nothing beyond the silence, ski touring is possibly the oldest and most natural of the winter sports: discover this sport in total safety with our local alpine guides who you will take you on easy tours like the climb to Lake Coldai (2132 m) directly at the foot of the northwest face of Monte Civetta (3220 m).

Cross-country skiing in the magical Val Pettorina.

Lovers of cross-country skiing, whether you are looking for a challenging trail to push yourself to the limit or just want some après-ski fun, you will find trails for all abilities in the Val Pettorina which winds between Alleghe and the slopes of the Marmolada, from the easy round tour Alleghe – Caprile, at 1000 m above sea level, to the tougher terrain in Malga Ciapela at 1500 m.

Walking with snowshoes at one with nature

A tour with snowshoes, in the moonlight if possible, will take you to a haven of peace far from the ski slopes. You can easily set off on marvellous excursions either on your own, equipped with GPS maps which can be downloaded free of charge, or accompanied by our experienced local guides. The different winter trails that start off from Alleghe are suitable for all levels.

From the pristine snowy slopes to ice

If you fancy trying ice-skating in Alleghe, you couldn’t ask for better facilities. Alleghe has an age-old ice hockey tradition, originally playing it on the lake and now in the modern “A. De Toni” ice arena in town. Just a short distance from the ski lifts and the centre of Alleghe is its ultra-modern rink where you can also hire equipment. The ice arena is also open in the summer. Are there any other ice sports on offer? A couple of miles from Alleghe you can experience the thrill of climbing on frozen waterfalls in the Serrai di Sottoguda canyon, at the foot of the Marmolada.
