Paola and Sandrone take turns at cooking, and are well known for their extremely refined cuisine, to be enjoyed on their wide terrace with its incredible view of the Civetta and the Marmolada .

The Averau Refuge is right on the ski slopes and is easy to reach on foot, on skis or by taking the Giau chair lift; it is at the hub of many excursions and routes for skiers and is a popular stop along the Alta Via No. 1 .

But if you’re looking for a touch of romanticism, you can enjoy a dinner in one of the refuges, going up on a motor sledge and with a nocturnal descent.

There is the possibility to stay overnight, but only for a lucky few, since there are only 19 beds in two dormitories with toilets and showers.
