Welcome
In just a couple of minutes the modern Faloria cable car transports you up to 2134m.
Once on the summit simply choose from one of the 30 km of perfectly groomed pistes, the pride and joy of our skiing area.
The Vitelli four-man chairlift takes you to the top of numerous fantastic descents.

The Faloria pistes are reached either by Faloria cable car, which starts in the center of Cortina, or from the village Rio Gere, located 7km from Cortina center. Ample parking facilities are available here.
Rio Gere can also be reached by skibus.

And... at Rio Gere the Faloria pistes are linked to the Cristallo area.

From Winter Season 2004/2005 the way to Faloria pistes from Rio Gere is more comfortable and faster, thanks to the new four-men chairlift "Pian de ra Bigontina".
Faloria Cable Car
The Faloria cable car was built in 1939.

At the time the only lift at Cortina was the Cortina-Belvedere to Pocol. Although this no longer exists, it nevertheless shrunk in comparison to the 900m Funivia Faloria.
The construction of the cable car, also known as the “Prince of Piemonte”, was hailed as a great technological feat.
The new cable car represented a revolution for skiing in Cortina. All of a sudden a vast skiing area at 2100m became easily accessible to thousands of skiers!

Three stations were constructed
- the valley station at 1230m, located next to the bus station (at the time train station)
- the half-way station at Mandres, 1500 m
- the top station at Faloria a 2120 m

The original cable car has been modernised and the current top station is not the original – the remains of this can be seen when walking along the Faloria path.
