The artillery

The second group of the 17th Artillery was operating at the Cinque Torri. More precisely, the Fourth Battery - whose main targets where Sasso di Stria, Valparola, Lagazuoi Piccolo and Falzarego - and the Fifth Battery whose targets were Falzarego and Col dei Bos.

Within the Command of the Siege Artillery, a Unit for observation services was created.

Each station was equipped with goniometers, long range telescopes, binoculars, maps, protractors, and updated lists of firing data, such as battery targets, observation posts and strongholds.
