When the Dolomites were a coral reef

Millions of years ago, the landscape of the Dolomites was very different that today , the sea bathing the coasts of these lands and it was in these bogs covered with mud that the dinosaurs left their footprints.

The rock on which it was found the track of Dinosaurs is located on the slopes of Mount Pelmetto and studies show the presence of three distinct types of footprints at the time was the first discovery of dinosaur footprints at the national level.

A cast of Boulder collapsed at the foot of Mount Pelmetto is located at the Museum Vittorino Cazzetta in Selva di Cadore , there thanks to a projection we can understand how these ancient inhabitants of planet Earth have left folded footprints until today.
