Motorcycle Route From Dolomites to Prealpi (Selva di Cadore)

Start
Selva di Cadore
Arrival
Selva di Cadore

The itinerary ideally links the Dolomites with the Prealpi crossing the Val Cordevole and Val di Zoldo. Uprightness of the Dolomites against the rolling hills of the Prealpi. The itinerary touches two important towns of the Province of Belluno: Longarone with its tragically known dam and Belluno, the shining town.
As it is a “circular tour”: the starting point can be any of the villages touched by the route. We suggest to start the tour in Selva di Cadore.

From Selva di Cadore, follow the main street to Passo Giau; on the left you will admire the beautiful village of Colle Santa Lucia. The uphill is breathtaking: you will achieve 2236 m of altitude with a breathtaking panorama over the “Gusela” and “Lastoi del Formin”. Following the road up to Passo Giau, go down to Cortina d’Ampezzo, until the crossroad in Pecol. Here, turn left direction Passo Falzarego. From here you can reach the top of Lagazuoi with the cable car  and admire one of the most panoramic terrace over the Dolomites. The tour continues with a great downhill through the “Valle del Cordevole” and “Valbelluna”. Along the way stop in Agordo, small village with the beautiful venetian Villa “Villa Crotta de’ Manzoni” and the large green lawn “El Broi”. You are 30 km far from Belluno: you will reach the town running along the river “Cordevole”. Passed the centre of the town, follow the Valle del Piave. In Longarone, leave the dam on your right, turn left entering the Val di Zoldo. Passed Forno di Zoldo and Zoldo Alto, the homeland  of ice cream, the street goes up between Monte Pelmo and Monte Civetta. At 1750 m a.s.l. pass the Passo Staulanza and go down back to Selva di Cadore.
