The Fiorentina stream born on the Agordino side of the Passo Staulanza to the glacier slopes present under the scree of the north face of Mount Pelmo.

In the second section, the most interesting from the point of view of sport fishing, that descends from Selva di Cadore to Caprile the river becomes wider so as to be interrupted by numerous tall weirs that they mitigate the risks of torrential transport of the material during the big storm and at the same time contribute to the formation of even a good size pools where stays the brown trout.
The climb of the stream is not always easy, especially in the final part of the water course because the weirs present do not allow smoother transitions.
To reach this area of Fiorentina stream from Belluno or Feltre take the SR 203 Agordina, past the towns of Agordo, Cencenighe and Alleghe Caprile, where at bridge to the village there is the confluence of the Cordevole and Fiorentina. To go back to the sources we continue along the main road of the Val Fiorentina in the first section presents some parking at the side of the road. Just beyond the exit of the tunnels the stream leaves the road and climbs to Pescul.
In the area near the Rifugio Aquileia, there is a quite picnic area with barbecue.
