The Ring of Mondeval

The Mondeval ring at the beginning of the space along the road ss 251 that goes up the Staulanza Pass from Selva di Cadore.
Leave the car and proceed along the white road n.467 to the Rifugio Città di Fiume (1918 m) and from there continue to the Malga Prendera.
Along the Alta Via numero 1 path we cross Forcella Col Duro and Forcella Ambrizzola (m.2277) from here along the Mondeval plateau we reach 
Forcella Giau (m.2360). 
The return takes place for the pastures of Mondeval along little marked trails. From Forcella Giau we reach the enchanting Lago delle Baste
after a break and the classic photos of the ritual we continue through the meadows to the east until we reach Malga Mondeval de Sora and
the Mesevalic Site of Mondeval (2158 m).
From here, walking towards Monte Pelmo, a path reaches the junction that leads south to Santa Fosca and north towards Forcella
Ambrizzola. We follow the path Cai n.466 towards Forcella Ambrizzola extending a lot of attention after just 100 meters on the right cross the stream 
and continue for a little trail marked by some red stamps that will take us under the Col Duro, along a small pond and pass the base of Col de le Stele.
In the distance we would start to have Malga Prendera where we would go to join the path n. 467 done on the way. 
From the Malga we descend to the Rifugio Città di Fiume and the Statale ss 251. The Mondeval ring can also be started from Passo Giau or from Santa Fosca / Malga Pien de Vacia.
