Arrival
Bivacco Voltolina

Ledge on the Corno del Doge rock face, partially equipped, only for experts, linking San Vito valley to bivacco Voltolina in the heart of Marmarole.
From San Vito di Cadore it's possible to reach Scotter Refuge (1.580 m) and then San Marco Refuge (1.823). From here, go on rising to Forcella Grande (2.225 m). Leaving the Forcella Grande pass on your back, start walking down along San Vito valley, among rocks and meadows. Find a crossing point and follow the sign for Bivacco Voltolina. Reach the point where the narrow ledge starts rising among the rocks. Be careful, the path is narrow, close to the void and not always equipped. Only the most dangerous points are equipped with metal ropes. The path finishes in the meadow close to bivacco Voltolina (2.082 m).
From Scotter refuge to bivacco Voltolina it takes about 5 hours walking.
From bivacco Voltolina it's possible to come back following the same path, or to go down to Somadida Forest car park, Auronzo di Cadore, climbing down a rock, 15 meters high, often wet, but equipped with metal ropes.
