TREKKING ROUTES | SASSO BIANCO | MARMOLADA | DOLOMITES UNESCO World Naturale Heritage Site

The route touches down in the charming villages of Bramezza, Caracoi Agoin and Caracoi Cimai. At altitude it transits along the interesting area where the Monte Piz breaks away and where in 1771 this phenomenon resulted in the creation of the Alleghe Lake. Higher up, coming off the back at an altitude of  1955 m , the trail goes towards the isolated peak called Sasso Bianco at 2407 m; from here we first return by tracing our steps and keeping to the southern face of the mountain, it is interesting to get to the Refuge Sasso Bianco (1840 m) at the centre of a conglomerate of several tabià, many of which have been remodelled. The starting base is the village of Pezzè (CAI trail n. 682) or Santa Maria delle Grazie where you can go as far as Caracoi Ciamai (1250 m) along the community road with authorised vehicles.
