World Natural Heritage Site Once these places were thriving with work and life; today the abandoned villages of Albe and Vallier, located in front of the rock wall of the Sasso Bianco, dominate the Valle Pettorina from their altitude of 1456 m. After the Second World War the houses were slowly emptied but the villages still contain traces of many centuries of habitation, which join with fascinating scenery.
