Italian Downhill Championships

The weekend of 20 and 21 July 2024 sees the Ampezzo valley host the prestigious Italian Downhill Championships.

Two days of pure adrenaline for lovers of downhill descents on two wheels, who will compete on the tracks in Tofana - Freccia nel Cielo, prepared by the trail builders of Dolomiti Bike Company in agreement with Sport Inside A.S.D.

Specifically, the track that will host the athletes will be the brand new Lucifer, part of more than 31 km of the Cortina Bike Park Dolomiti: a track for experts of 1600 metres with a difference in altitude of 275 metres starting from Col Druscié and ending at Colfiere (intermediate station of the Freccia nel Cielo cableway).

The natural slope, wide and technical, was built on terrain suitable even in the rain. There are also simplified lines to avoid road gaps or other situations too challenging for young or inexperienced riders.

A distinguishing feature is certainly the final road gap over which the rider can fly even more than 3 metres high and then land on the trail again.

To the podium will be called the first 5 athletes of the Absolute Classifications and the first 3 athletes of the Category Classifications.
