Rifugio Lagazuoi

It is one of the highest mountain chalets in Cortina at 2752 meter high. Its balcony is so famous thanks to astonishing views over the Dolomites that it has been mentioned on important magazines in Italy and abroad. It’s the perfect base for skiing or trekking and the cooking offers dishes based on local recipes. The manager Guido Pompanin is very proud of the polenta with deer and barley soup. Let alone the desserts, especially the “kaiserschmarren”, a pancake that gets cut in smaller pieces and served with jam.
