Rifugio Lago d’Ajal

The Rifugio Lago d'Ajal is a small jewel immersed in a natural paradise.

Recenty refurbished, respecting the context in which it is located, the mountain hut is ready to welcome its guests both in Summer and Winter.

The mountain hut reflects its image in the water of the lake, which has the same name, Lago d'Ajal. On the large terrace you can enjoy traditional dishes while admiring the lake, surrounded by the wonders of the Ampezzo Dolomites, for a unique sensorial experience.

The cuisine is strongly linked to the territory, with great attention to raw materials and zero-km products. The mountain hut is open for lunch and dinner, and during the day the bar serves delicious dishes to welcome hikers and visitors.

The young manager has two great passions: mountain and wine, both breathable in the lovely venue, thanks to the attention to nature and the well-stocked wine cellar.

In the Summer the mountain hut can be reached in a two hours walk from the town centre. Alternatively, a jeep service is available on request, as the access road is unpaved and open only at certain times of the year, to protect the unique natural environment. 

In the Winter season you can access the mountain hut with snowshoes, and a snowmobile service is organized by reservation.

And if you want to experience one of the most beautiful sunrises, the Lago D'Ajal mountain hut offers two Suites with a wonderful lake view, to totally immerse yourself in a real natural Eden.
