Rifugio Scoiattoli

Cortina

The refuge was built by the alpine guide Lorenzo Lorenzi, who still runs it together with his family, and it has breathtaking views over the 5 Torri area. The cooking is very traditional but with a twist. You should definitely try the “violette ai sapori del bosco”, (“Violets with flavours from the woods”) homemade fresh pasta flavoured with blueberries. They cook speck en croute but it’s necessary to book it in advance. Between the desserts, strictly homemade, we recommend the “salame al cioccolato”, a salame made of chocolate served with vanilla custard. During the winter the Lorenzi family invites their guest to experience an unusual evening: going up to the refuge by chairlift, all lit up, followed by a typical dinner and descend by sledge.
